Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

We are responsible for teacher accounts and billing records.

If you teach at a school that is covered by FERPA or a similar student-privacy law and you retain aggregate class session data collected by Graph Tracer, that information is an education record your school controls. We use it only to run your class, as a vendor working for you and your school. We do not become the school.

Aggregate class session data is retained only if more than 1 student participates in the session.

If you use Graph Tracer with a personal Google account, we are simply holding your teacher account and any traces tied to anonymous stations. Try Free accounts don't retain name, school name or school zip code information.

2. What we collect

Teacher account

• Google account email, when you sign in with Google.
• Sign-up date, last sign-in, and account status (for example free try, active, expired).
• If subscribed in Graph Tracer Full Edition, we collect school name and school zip and optionally collect teacher first and last name.

Payment

• Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status, and period end date.
• We do not store full card numbers. Stripe does.

Classroom (only if you create it)

• Graph traces, session activity and aggregate performance tied to that class session and to your teacher account and only if more than one student participates in the session.

Technical

• Session cookies or tokens needed to keep you signed in.
• Basic device and log data used to run and secure the Service (for example IP address on a request).
• We do not require students to create accounts.

3. How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your aggregate class performance viewable by you.
• To provide the free try (one linear graph) or the paid Full Edition (all fifteen graphs).
• To process payment, apply a coupon, and keep the subscription in sync via Stripe webhooks.
• To email you about your account, the product, or a change to this policy. You can unsubscribe from product updates. We still send receipts and service notices.
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use student information for advertising. We do not use student information or class traces to train a general-purpose artificial intelligence model.

4. Student data

Anonymous student information is created by their flow through the class session created by the teacher and retained in aggregate form in class sessions, if more than one student is active in the session.

Graph Tracer is aimed at teachers of middle and high school math. If a teacher of younger students uses the product, they must follow COPPA and their school's rules. School authorization covers educational use only — not advertising or other commercial use of a child's information.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run Graph Tracer:

• Google LLC — sign-in.
• Stripe, Inc. — payment and tax calculation.
• Lovable.dev — hosting graphtracer.app and storing application data.

Those companies may process data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell lists to marketers.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or a person from serious harm.

6. Cookies

We use cookies or similar storage, so you stay signed in and so the site works. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; sign-in may stop working.

7. How long we keep it

Teacher accounts stay until you ask us to delete them, or until we close an abandoned account after a long period with no sign-in (we will not treat a summer break as abandonment).

Class Session Content stays until you delete the class session or the account, or until we delete it after an expired account has been closed.

Billing records stay as long as tax and accounting rules require.

8. Security

We use standard industry measures (encrypted connections, authenticated access, restricted admin access). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Tell us at support@graphtracer.app if you believe there has been a breach involving your account.

We will notify the affected teacher and, where required, the school, as promptly as we reasonably can if a breach of your account occurred.

9. Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your teacher account information by emailing support@graphtracer.app. We will need to confirm it is your account.

If a privacy law such as the CCPA applies to you, you may also have the right to know what we collect and to ask us not to sell or share personal information. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Google sign-in is controlled in your Google account. Stripe billing is controlled in the Stripe customer portal.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change. If we make a material change to how we use student information, we will post a notice on the site or email the teacher address on the account.
